Woolhampton mother up for two national blogging awards

Former Heart Radio presenter, Molly Forbes, is delighted to have been nominated for two parent blogging awards

A WEST Berkshire mother is preparing for the most important month of her life with two nominations for prestigious national blogging awards and the small matter of her wedding day.

Former Heart Radio presenter, Molly Forbes, of Woolhampton, has been nominated in the best funny blog category in the Gurgle Blog Awards on September 8 and the best baby blog category at the Mum and Dad (MAD) Blog Awards on September 30 for her blog, Mother's Always Right.

The 27-year-old, who will marry her partner Simon Weaver, aged 30, at Ufton Court on Saturday, started her blog in February following the birth of the couple's first child, Freya, on June 27 last year.

Miss Forbes, who has been sponsored by baby products' firm, Brother Max, for the MAD awards, said: “To have been shortlisted as a finalist for both awards is very pleasing and very surprising. I'm really excited and still a little bit in shock.

“The nominations have given me a lot more exposure which means more people have been reading the blog. I've had lots of interviews as well, I'm going to appear in Grazia magazine soon.”
