Elstree School gift fair raises money for West Berks Foodbank

Elstree School recently hosted a Gift Fair boasting more than 50 stalls, all in aid of charity.

The Upper Woolhampton school raised an impressive £3,112.80 for the West Berks Foodbank.

The various stalls were complemented with refreshments baked by one talented mother and songs by the Elstree School Choirs.

Year 7 pupils helped usher guests at the entrance and with running the tombola and cake and sweet stalls. Their efforts will contribute towards the 'charity and service' section of their Silver Elstree Award.

The school extends its gratitude to the Friends of Elstree team who arranged the hamper auction, which raised enough money to revamp the cricket scoreboard, and the Gift Fair Committee – which comprised of Louise Marshall, Millie Ridley-Day and Clare Pannell, with assistance from Jane Bevan, Lucy Cropper, Henriette Lockwood and Kate Turner.
