Woolhampton welcomes new priest

A large congregation gathered at St Peter’s Church, Woolhampton, to welcome and licence Revd Pat Bhutta to the Aldermaston and Woolhampton benefice on November 6.
Mrs Bhutta, a solicitor by background, will join the rector of the benefice, the revd Becky Bevan, in the six parishes of Woolhampton, Aldermaston, Beenham, Midgham, Brimpton and Wasing.
The service was led by the Bishop of Reading, the Rt. Rev. Andrew Proud, and was attended by members of Mrs Bhutta’s former parish in Cumnor, Oxford. Mrs Bhutta will be based in Midgham with her husband, Anwar.
