Woolton Hill pupils entertain Ugandan headteacher

Choir and orchestra perform to mark occasion

Woolton Hill junior school pupils recently entertained a headteacher from Uganda.

A school assembly welcomed Madame Mariam from the twinned school, Bulera Primary in Mitiyana, Uganda.

The choir and orchestra performed in her honour, alongside two pupils on the drums.

Pupils Callum and Duncan Somerville said: “Madame Mariam thoroughly enjoyed this.

“She has had a look around our school and looked in every classroom. We would like to thank her for coming all the way from Uganda and thank you to Mrs Perks for organising it.”

Madame Mariam also visited the neighbouring St Thomas’s Infant school.
