World record attempt in Pangbourne today

The event will take place at Pangbourne Meadows today between 12pm and 5pm.
Money raised from the sale of crowns for the world record attempt will go towards buying a memorial for the village to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee.
The rest of the proceeds will go to local charities.
In order to beat the current world record more than 1,000 people will have to wear a paper crown for ten minutes at the event.
Organisers of the fete are still looking for volunteers to help with the world record attempt.
If you are interested call chairwoman of Pangbourne Village Fete Committee, Angela Cullinan on 0118 984 5381.
