World's strongest men battled it out in Northbrook Street last week

A 600-strong crowd watched as ten teams from across the world flipped 550kg tyres and walked 20 metres while carrying weights of 400kg, in a bid to prove they were the muscle masters.
Teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, America, Canada, Romania, Moldova, Sweden and Hungary took part, with the latter stealing the crown.
Cecond and third places went to Wales and America respectively, while England came eighth.
The organiser of the event, who lives at Aldermaston Wharf, said the event was a great success.
“It was brilliant,” he said. “It was a great venue...the crowd was great.
“It was in the high street so we hoped we would have a lot of spectators and we seemed to top-out at 500 to 600 people, we had a great day.”
Following the competition, the teams headed to Newbury steak house the Hoggit and Hoof to undertake the 72oz steak challenge, which involved eating the large rump steak, salad and chips within one hour - a feat which only one man completed, legendary strongman Laszlo Fekete, 10-times World's Strongest Man and the founder and president of the World's Natural Strongman Federation, the governing body for steroid-free strong athletes.
Mr Mullineux extended his thanks to the Newbury BID, which supported the event, the Hoggit and Hoof and the Regency Park Hotel, Thatcham, which accommodated the teams.
He added that he hoped the competition could be help annually in the town.
Newbury BID events manager, Suzanne Young, said: “The BID was delighted with the outcome of Newbury’s first-ever strongman competition.
“I spoke to several members of the crowd who thought it was a great event and something really different.”
She thanked Wilkinsons, which provided a power socket for the event.
