'Wrong' Direction arrive in Tadley on Friday
Five male members of staff at Burnham Copse Primary School will be dressing up as members of pop group One Direction for a music video, to help raise money for Comic Relief. Each will wear a mask and be transformed into either, Harry, Zayne, Niall, Louis or Liam.
They have also created a video, situated in the school grounds, recreating the One Direction video for the Comic Relief single: One way or another/ Teenage kicks.
The video - which has already received several thousand of hits on YouTube and can be viewed via the link below - will be shown to pupils and parents on Friday during assembly at the school - which will also be holding a wear red to school day.
Alley Armstrong, acting headteacher said they had been encouraged to ‘do something funny for money’, and hoped the video would achieve this, while continuing:
“Here at Burnham Copse Primary School each class is made aware of the meaning behind Comic Relief and the help that it provides to others,”
Also in Tadley, Tadley Swimming Pool will host a day of fundraising events, with a staff sponsored swim, joined by team mascot, Ollie the Octopus.
Other activities include a cake and tea sale in the community room at the swimming pool, with homemade cakes, served by staff in fancy dress.
