X-Factor stars to headline Tadley music marathon
Lots to see and do in Newbury and beyond
Excitement is building in Tadley over the Berkshire/Hampshire border today (Saturday), where X-Factor stars, Concept, return to headline a 12-hour music marathon, with plenty else - including two scarecrow trails - to see and do in Newbury and beyond.
The Tea Party in the Park starts at 12.15pm, where homegrown boyband, Concept, most of whose five members hail from Tadley, will front the 12-hour music exravaganza, in aid of Tadley Calleva Football Club's youth side, at Barlows Park, in Silchester Road.

Earlier in the day, shoppers in Newbury town centre can put their feet up at a coffee morning, at Newbury Town Hall, from 10am.
Cricket fans should head fior a 1pm match at Brownsfield, where Thatcham take on Newbury.
A jumble sale at 2pm is at St Catherine’s Church Hall, Wittenham Avenue (opposite Birch Copse School), Tilehurst. Entrance 25p. In aid of church funds.
Aldbourne Scarecrow Trail continues until bank holiday Monday (May 25), on the theme of Heroes and Villains. Refreshments and trail sheets from Methodist Church, Lottage Road, Aldbourne, from 10am until 5pm each day and from noon until 5pm on Sunday. Details at aldbournescarecrows@gmail.com.
Burghfield Common Scarecrow Trail, on the theme of Children;s television characters, starts today (Sat) and continues until May 30. Solve the puzzles and riddles to win cash prize of £50. Trail maps from the post office/village shops.
The Dragon’s Tale, is at Newbury's Corn Exchange, from 11am until noon, with more entertainment this evening,at 7pm, when New Era Players’ host a spring quiz, at St George’s church hall, Andover Road. Tickets include a Ploughman’s supper. To book telephone Janet on (01264) 360255.
