UPDATED: Amber warning for heavy rain issued for West Berkshire and Hampshire by Met Office
UPDATE: 9am - The warning covering this district has now been upgraded to amber.
The band of rain will be slow-moving across the area for several hours, before weaken and move away eastwards during Monday night.
Some areas will see up to 80mm of rain throughout today and the Met Office is warning that lightning could be a hazard too.
The amber warning is in place until 9pm today, with the yellow warning still covering the area until midnight.
3am: Large parts of the South will experience heavy rain disruption today (Monday).
The Met Office has reported that large areas of the Midlands, northeast England and east Wales are likely to experience the most rain.
But some communities in West Berkshire and Hampshire could also experience flooded roads, power cuts and difficult driving conditions and road closures.
