Young fundraiser to run 10k for Hermitage autism charity Prior’s Court

An Oxfordshire woman is taking on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10k race on Sunday in aid of a local autism charity.

Evie Merry has decided to raise £500 for Prior’s Court – a Hermitage-based charity supporting young people with autism – after visiting its site in November as part of a company volunteering day.

And she has already raised nearly half her target.

Supported by her colleagues from Karcher UK, she deep-cleaned one of the charity’s residential homes ahead of its re-opening.

She said: “My training has been successful and I feel like I am ready to take on this challenge as one of my goals for 2024.

“I chose Prior’s Court in November last year as they have such a lovely community of people and staff working for them doing such an amazing job.

“I want to say thank you to Natalie for supporting me from the beginning from when I decided I wanted to take this challenge on.”

Any funds she manages to raise will go towards the charity’s bespoke new Performing Arts Centre, currently under construction.
