Youngsters invited to bug hunt and teddy bears’ picnic in The Globe Garden by Newbury Lock




Youngsters are invited to celebrate summer with a special family day in Newbury later this month.

The team from The Globe Garden by Newbury Lock are organising a bug hunt in its grounds.

It is followed by a teddy bears’ picnic around the branches of the garden’s ancient apple trees.

Those attending should take blankets and food to enjoy while children’s stories are read out.

The event is aimed at children aged three to seven, but all ages are welcome.

It is planned for 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday, August 31, but is weather dependent; if it is raining, it will not take place.

The gardens are near The Lock, Stock and Barrel pub in Bridge Street, Newbury.
