Appeal to schools: Wear blue for Berkshire Youth

A youth charity is encouraging West Berkshire secondary schools to wear blue as part of its latest fundraising drive.

Berkshire Youth, which runs workshops and sessions for children and young adults out of Newbury’s Waterside Centre, is asking schools to wear blue on October 11 to raise vital funds and awareness for its work.

So far, The Downs School, Kennet School, Trinity School, The Willink School and St Barts have all pledged their support. The latter will be holding its non-uniform day on October 10.

But the charity wants more schools to get involved.

Pupils are invited to wear either an item or dress all in blue for just £1.

All proceeds will go to Berkshire Youth so it can continue to provide safe spaces, activities and trusted trainers for all young people in West Berkshire.
