Youth workers to tackle antisocial behaviour at Dunstan Green skate park, Thatcham

Youth workers are spending more time at Dunstan Green skate park after an account of antisocial behaviour and bullying was raised in late October.

The reported incident, on Harts Hill Road, detailed the account of a mother who witnessed the bullying of two other young children aged around five and nine.

The police were contacted, who subsequently requested a presence in the area – something that is now being carried out.

Since then measures have been taken through detatched youth work in a bid to make the park safer.

A Thatcham Town Council meeting heard: “They have been spending time up there following that incident, that’s how that one was dealt with.”
