Police arrest 2 youths following incident at Theale church

Thames Valley Police have arrested two youths following an incident at Holy Trinity Church in Theale.

A 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy – both from Reading – were arrested on Thursday, April 22, on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage.

They have both been released under investigation.

It is in connection with an incident on April 16, during which Holy Trinity Church in Theale was broken into and a number of items stolen.

A fire extinguisher was also set off, causing damage to the church.

Last year, an appeal to fund improved security for the church raised almost £1,500.

This followed a number of incidents in which Holy Trinity was targeted.
