No, it will have a negative impact on the town centre and increase traffic on other roads.

It states that a "Yes" vote would be good for the environment. No it won't. Closure of this road will not reduce traffic. In fact it will force more traffic onto the other roads causing more traffic jams and thus more pollution. Apart from all the other negative effects re deliveries etc.
