The only decent pitch in the Newbury area was (and should still be) at Faraday Road which is a proper football ground/stadium (meets FA/league requirements, adult sized pitch, spectator barriers, securely fenced in, toilets, changing rooms, clubhouse/bar for refreshments, floodlighting, spectator stand, turnstiles etc) for serious league and cup matches. Why close it when there's no development or alternative!?

Sadly the Council gave away the stands and took down the perimeter fencing and now want to demolish the club house and changing rooms. But now they have admitted that was a mistake, they should just put it back to how it was before they kicked out Newbury FC in June 18

Not sure why the Rugby Club is listed? It's privately owned and not an option so a bit pointless really

The Newbury Rugby Club option is a non-starter. Newbury RFC own the land and have long expressed no desire to share with a football club - or any other team sport - other than as a training hire
