35 goals across four games as Newbury Sunday League welcomes new sides
NWX and Kingsclere still sit level on points at the top of Newbury Sunday League.
Reigning champions NWX enjoyed another big win, as they hosted Diamond FC at Henwick Playing Fields.
Harry Murtagh stole the show in a four goal display which featured a perfect hattrick, while Alfie Davis-Ellard and Charlie Knight both scored to add to the total to give NWX a huge 6-1 victory.
Kingsclere continued to match their rivals, as they recorded an enormous 13-0 victory over Plough on the Green.
A makeshift backline didn’t help things for the hosts, as Kingsclere took their goal difference to +24 after just three games. They are yet to concede a goal.
At Douai Abbey, Thatcham Tornadoes beat The Crickets AFC 9-2 in another game packed with goals.
The result sees Tornadoes move up to fifth with their first win of the season, while The Crickets find themselves bottom with plenty of work to do.
There was a battle of the debutants this week, as new joiners Frilsham and AFC Aldermaston faced off.
Aldermaston took an early lead, before Frilsham took control of the game though two goals from Jack Mann.
Joey Bone added a third with a header to seal a 3-1 win in a perfect start for the newly formed side.
