Berkshire blast out Hereford in two days
Record-breaking innings success makes it four out of four championship wins for Royal County
BERKSHIRE completed a record-breaking win over Herefordshire in the Minor Counties Championship at Finchampstead, winning by an innings and 44 runs inside two days.
Berkshire's batsmen had made merry on day one when Jono McLean made an unbeaten 210 and Michael Roberts 205 in a record-busting second wicket stand of 371.
Chasing Berkshire's 507-7 off 90 overs, Hrefordshire were 91-2 overnight and were bowled out for 214 wiuth Carl Crowe taking 3-16 and Tom Parsons 3-50.
And Berkshire's bowlers followed up by skittling out the visitors for 249 in their second knock with Shaun Udal snapping up 5-63 and Chris Peploe 3-47 to make it four wins in a row for the Royal County.
