Berkshire's Twickenham date

Members of the Newbury Women's team have made it to the final of the Gill Burns Division One County Cup with Berkshire Women.

The final takes place this Saturday, 4th June, at Twickenham Stadium.

The match, against Leicestershire Ladies, kicks off at 1pm and entry is free.

It is the first time Berkshire Women have ever made the final.

Newbury Women's coach, Nikki Paton, is the backs coach.

The following players from Newbury will take to Twickenham's hallowed turf for Berkshire: Kirsty Batten, Lizzie Harris, Anna Krzyżanowska, Abbie Leadbitter, Lozzie Price-Richards and Emma Robinson.

Meanwhile, several Newbury Blues players have been involved in County Championship Division Three group games for Berkshire and Oxfordshire over the last few weeks.

Newbury Blues players Dan Thorne, Ben Hicks, Tom Cole, Toby Thorne, Will Osborne and former Blues man Max Hayman represented Berkshire.

Berkshire won both their group games, beating Middlesex 37-21 and Sussex 22-12.

Blues star Adam Neal captained Oxfordshire for their groups games as they saw off Nottinghamshire, Buckinghamshire and North Midlands.

Berkshire and Oxfordshire will now face off in the final.
