Defeat number nine as Newbury remain stuck fast in another relegation zone

NEWBURY BLUES were beaten for the ninth time in nine games this season when they went down 39-7 at Chippenham on Saturday.

The hoime side led 18-0 at the interval with tries from Aaron Clark and Adrian Price, full back Sam Saunders adding a conversion and two penalties and also collecting a yellow-card.

They went on to add second half tries through Jamie Doubleday, Clark and Peter Kirby and went on to add three tries after the interval with Newbuyr's late consolation try coming from Alistair Widdop, converted by Tom Cary.
