Blues out to remove home stain

'We owe supporters' says Newbury coach

NEWBURY BLUES bid to remove all remaining vestiges of their first home defeat since February 2015 when they face Berkshire rivals Windsor at Monks Lane in South West One East on Saturday.

They went some way to wiping it out when winning at Swindon last week but, said head coach Lee Goodall: “We owe our home spectators a game and a performance and the players will have to repay the debt from two weeks ago.”

Blues expect Windsor to provide a stiff derby test as they bid to recover from two straight defeats, while the home side will have more added strength to the ranks that also won last week with Josh Winfield, Ryan Davis, Steve Denner, Anthony Hackett and new boy Jake Richardson all in the frame with Alex Millar and Chris Guyatt the only injury worries.
