Bobby maps out the way up
Tuesday night's Harry Goodger brace saw Hungerford to a 2-1 win over Cinderford Town that puts them four points clear of Sholing in second spot in the Division One South and West table, a position Wilkinson is keen to attain should leaders Bideford prove to be beyond reach.
"It is important to finish second, as it means both of our play-off games would be at home," he said.
Wilkinson has freshened up his squad for the run-in with three more signings. He brought in goalkeeper Chay Morris from Basingstoke last week to make a clean-sheet debut at Poole Town, and he has added midfielder Sean Wood from Swindon Supermarine while Matt Pedder has re-signed from Lambourn Sports.
They will be needed for the visit of Taunton town on Saturday, when Matt Jack, Ryan Crockford and Luke Brewer all miss out and Scott Davis and Luke Hopper are doubts.
