Brilliant bronze for Newbury Athletic Club's Izzy Fry at the British Athletics UK Indoor Championships in Birmingham

Newbury Athletic Club’s Izzy Fry won her first senior medal on Sunday when competing in the British Athletics UK Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

Competing in the blue, white and red colours of Newbury AC, Izzy raced in the 3000m final.

She ran fantastically to dictate the pace of the race from the front to ensure she strung out in the field.

This tactic was rewarded with a bronze medal behind fellow GB international athletes Amy Eloise Markovc and Amelia Quirk.
