Thames Valley boxing girl faces the champion in ABAE Female final at Mansfield

THAMES VALLEY ABC'S Chelsea Allen will be aiming her gloves at the ABAE Female National Championship when she takes on reigning champion Shannon Caulfield on Saturday.

The 17-year old completed her sparring preparation this week after sessions at Berinsfield, and goes to Mansfield Civic Centre in perfect shape to seek to reverse last year's defeat at Caulfield's hands.

The Coventry-based beauty therapy student has an impressive record but, says Chelsea;s coach PauLC ooke: We know her and hjw she fights.

"Chelsea is in good shape. She is moving well and is perfectly ready for this.

"We all have tremendous confidence in her and the whole club is willing her on to win.

"She can do it."

The junior class six bout will be over three-two minute rounds at the Lindhurst Rooms and her coach is so confident that Chelsea will win that he has already arranged her a follow-up bout and a taste of international action for the folloiwng week against A swedish opponent on an kolpen air bill at Hoddesden, where club-mate Christopher Haines will also be in action.
