Derby clash set to go ahead

Newbury and Thatcham reserves will meet at Faraday Road tonight if weather remains on hold

NEWBURY'S Hellenic League derby with Thatcham reserves looks like going ahead tonight (Tuesday) barring any decline in weather conditons.
The teams lie fourth and sixth respectively in the Division One East table and a win for Newbury would take them back into second spot, four points behind leaders Highmoor Ibis but with four games in hand.
Success for Thatcham would see them leapfrog Newbury into the top four.
Chairman Keith Moss confirmed that the pitch had some surface water, but barring further rain or a freeze, it should be playable.
The kick off is at 7.45pm.
