Hungerford away to Chester in FA Trophy

HUNGERFORD Town have been drawn away to National League Premier Division side Chester in the second round of the FA Trophy.
And Crusaders manager Bobby Wilkinson described it as a “dream draw”.
Hungerford, quarter-finalists in the Trophy two years ago, clinched a 2-1 victory at Corinthian Casuals on Saturday thanks to goals from Nat Jarvis and Mark Draycott.
Now they face a Chester side who average crowds of more than 2,000 and who have Wayne Rooney’s brother John up front.
Tadley Calleva also landed a plum draw in the fourth round of the FA Vase – if they see off Newport (Isle of Wight) in their replay on Tuesday night.
Two James Tennant goals put Tadley – playing in their first-ever third-round tie – on the brink of a famous win, only for Newport to grab an 88th minute equaliser.
Thatcham Town kept up their challenge for the Hellenic League Premier Division title with an impressive 3-0 win at Binfield.
An Adam Morris penalty gave Town a 1-0 interval lead, before Shane Cooper-Clark and Josh Helmore sealed the win.
