Drop kick dismay for Blues

Blues’ biggest crowd in years saw them carve out a narrow 6-o interval lead with two penalties from Richard West before Chippenham snatched the lead early in the second period when Sam Saunders got in for the game’s only try, converted by Nic Aston.
But a third penalty saw Blues stage a battling rearguard action that looked like succeeding until two minutes from time when Dom Riccio was teed up to bisect the posts with the winning kick and claim a great escape for the leaders.
