From a steady start of 77 for 4 (Nick Bird 19) - it was the latter batting that carried the innings.
With three sixes, Duncan Johnson (70) shared a partnership of 96 with Stefan Gill (36), Joe Bird (17) and Tristan Stockwell was 14 not out when the innings was declared at 200 for 6, with captain Tom Parl taking 5-40.
Wickets tumbled rapidly as the presidents replied, but a well hit 28 from Duncan Pike helped to steady the ship.
Then at 95-8, a long and entertaining partnership of 68 for the ninth wicket threatened an unexpected victory.
James Perkins was eventually out for 59, including three sixes in one over, and Nigel Radbourne finished 25 not out, but the last wicket fell at 163.
Gavin Ansell (3-23), Alan Williams (3-38) and Stockwell (2-18) proved to be Woodhay’s destroyers.
