Falkland youngster draws praise for cross-country dominance




Falkland Primary School’s Ella Larkin has received high praise after winning a unique quartet of cross-country wins.

Larkin has received a special award from the West Berkshire & North Hampshire Primary Schools Cross Country.

Event Organiser Nick Bull presented Larkin with the award at a training night, where she is part of the Middle Distance Group at Team Kennet under her coach, Nick.

Larkin is the first Female to win all four races in the school years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and only second person to do this in the 27 years of the event.

The event attracts over 350 runners in each race adding to the significance of her dominance.

“Ella Larkin is a rising star with the mindset of a champion,” said Falkland headteacher Kavash Bamfield.

“What sets her apart is not just her talent, but her unstoppable grit, fierce determination, and deep passion for everything she takes on.

“She sets herself bold targets, works tirelessly to improve, and bounces back stronger from every challenge.

“Ella is the kind of role model who inspires everyone around her—proof that with resilience and heart, greatness is within reach.

“Behind her every step of the way are her biggest cheerleaders—her parents, Richard and Anna—whose unwavering support continues to help her strive for and achieve her personal best.”
