Festive football fixtures for local sides

THE festive period sees a packed fixture list with our local sides playing in no less than 13 games during Christmas and New Year.
Thatcham and Reading kick off proceedings on Boxing Day with Town at home to North Leigh and the Royals at home to Brighton. Both games kick off at 3pm.
On New Years Eve Newbury, Hungerford, Thatcham and Reading are all in action.
Newbury entertain Lambourn Sports at home (3pm) with Hungerford travelling to Wimborne Town (1pm), Thatcham at home to Didcot Town (3pm) and Reading at home to Ipswich (3pm).
January 2 sees a local derby between Hungerford and Thatcham at Bulpit Lane at 3pm. The game has added importance with both teams chasing promotion.
Meanwhile, Newbury play Thatcham Reserves and Reading travel to Cardiff, both games are at 3pm.
Newbury and Reading's attentions then turn to the cup on January 7 with Newbury at home to Didcot Casuals in the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup fourth round and Reading at home to Stevenage in the third round of the FA Cup.
On the same day, Thatcham are at home to Poole Town in the league while Hungerford are away at Bishops Cleeve, also in the league.
All games on January 7 kick off at 3pm.
