Newbury got an equaliser when Bradley Shaw broke into the area and his shot beat the keeper to score his first.
Reading almost took the lead on the stroke of halftime when a snap shot came back of the post and was cleared by the home defence.

Newbury started to get the upper hand and it was not a surprise when they scored again when Shaw ran onto a ball on the edge of the area and his shot went through the
hands of the keeper.
