Four-timer Garyn fires Hungerford to victory
Winger nets the lot as build-up continues at Didcot
GARYN Preen was on target all four times as Hungerford stepped up their pre-season build-up with a 40 win at Didcot Town on Saturday.
Preen struck twice in each half as Hungerford gave a first star start to former high-rated Reading youngster Nicholas Bignell.
It was Hungerford’s first game without leading marksman Mark Draycott but Preen was on fire as Hungerford upped preparations for the National League South kick off on August 6.
They now take on Evo Stik League Southern Fleet Town at Newbury’s Faraday Road ground on Tuesday, kick off 7.30pm.
A GOAL five minutes from time from Jon Bennet gave Thatcham Town victory at Shepton Mallet Town.
Thatcham continue their build-up with the visit of Swindon Supermairne to Waterside Park on Tuesday evening, kick-off 7.30pm.
Tadley Calleva beat Woodley United 4-1 at Basngstoke’s Everest College with new boy Glenn Gabriel scoring twice and Brett Denham and Andrew Charsley also netting, Idris Kamara scoring for Woodley.
Newbury beat Highworth Town’s development side Reserves 6-0 with Craig Hill netting a hat-trick.
