Thames Valley boxer scores in Berinsfield show to maintain his promise

THAMES VALLEY ABC fighter Christopher Haines underlined his growing potential with an impressive showing in a weekend bout in the Berinsfield ABC show at Oxford's Pressed Steel club.

Buoyed by his recent appearance for the Home Counties, the 13-year old was a unanimous winner against Watchett's Robert Collins, dominating the fight throughout.

His work rate was solid throughout as he worked to his opponent's body and head, and only his eagerness to get in close stopped him picking and finishing off his rival.

His clear 8-3, 5-3, 9-4 decision highlighted his performance as just reward for an impressive display.
