Thatcham Town had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Westfield in the Isthmian League South Central.
The Kingfishers fell behind in the game, but Lamin Ceesay levelled the scores with 12 minutes of the game remaining.
The home side did have the chance to grab the winner, but Daniel Fosu failed to convert his penalty as he missed the target.
In the Newbury Sunday League Premier Division, Woolton Hill Argyle moved up to fourth after a narrow 3-2 win over Taste of England.
James Pye gave the visitors the lead, but Taste of England fought back to level the scores.
Steve Burrows restored Woolton Hill's lead before half-time, but it was 2-2 early in the second-half.
With time running out and both sides looking for a winner, Woolton Hill's Danny Field netted the all-important winner to see them secure the three points.
In the hockey, Hallam Kelly scored the only goal of the game as Newbury & Thatcham 2nd beat Amersham & Chalfont 2nd 1-0.
Meanwhile, in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon 3 South division, Thatcham RFC 2nd suffered a 15-22 defeat to Reading Abbey 3rd.
