Golf club presents cheque to cancer charity

The West Berkshire Golf Club in Chaddleworth presented a cheque to the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust
THE West Berkshire Golf Club has presented a cheque for more than £7,000 to the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust.
The vice chairman of the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust, Dr Paul Millard, visited the club in Chaddleworth on Sunday to receive a cheque for £7,059.50, which had been raised through various fundraising events and activities, including competitions, throughout the year.
The club also raised about £750 which was paid directly to the trust, giving an overall fundraising total for the year of £7,829.50.
