Henderson unveils festival hopes

Media crowds into Seven Barrows for Cheltenham appraisal

NICKY Henderson unveiled his festival hopes for Cheltenham with most eyes on the return to action of past Triumph Hurdle winner My Tent or Yours.

The horse has not raced since April 2014 but is one of the Seven Barrows’ yard’s hopes for the Champion Hurdle, with Peace and Co and Hargam making it a three-pronged assault.

Henderson’s Sprinter Sacre is also “in good shape” according to the trainer and will go for the Queen Mother Champion Chase while Peace and Co has successfully undergone a procedure on a troublesome palate and is ready for work and the Champion Hurdle.

Speaking to media on Monday, Henderson acknowledged the interruption to his horses preparations but said: “We’ve got three weeks work scheduled. We know where we are and although we are not coming in with ideal preparaition, we can get them there.”
