A win would take Hungerford to the top of the Evo Stik League Division One South and West table and inherit the pressure that goes with it and, said manager Bobby Wilkinson: “I like others being top because everyone wants to beat them.
“I am quite happy just to keep plodding along as we are. But we are not getting carried away,” he added. “We’ll stay on our feet and relax. There’s 30-odd games still to go and all the players can do is keep giving 110 per cent as they are. “
Hungerford were grateful for a Saturday off as players bid to shake of knocks, the latest seeing wide man Bradley Gray forced out of action with a groin injury that will keep him out for a couple of weeks.
Matt Day, John Boardman and Diak John are also carryring injuries but should be fit to start.
