Hungerford grateful for the points
They had thank top marksman Mark Draycott for both goals, a 93 minute winner after an early first half penalty awarded dubiously and gratefully accepted.
Banbury’s Darius Browne was penalised for handball after the ball came back onto him off a team-mate and Draycott tucked away the chance.
But Browne, Jordan Green and The Walcott’s cousin Jacob were regular threats and it was Browne who set up Green to level the scores shortly before the interval.
Hungerford had the better of the second half without being able to relax entirely, but they had to wait until stoppage time for Gary Horgan to send in a cross that was knocked on by Harry Goodger for Draycott to drive home the winner.
Hungerford now take on a Weymouth side that may be a ‘wounded beast’ after being toppled 1-0 at home by Chippenham Town on Saturday.
