HUNGERFORD recorded a comfortable win on Canvey Island, the scoreline dampened only by the bottom of the table side scoring twice just before the finish when the contest was over.

The visitors went ahead after the half-hour when Louis Soares left goalkeeper Ben McNamara helpless when netting his first goal for the club, and Rhys Tyler met a corner just before the break to hammer home the second goal.

James Clark made it 3-0 when finding the gap just inside the post after an hour, and substitute Stefan Brown added the fourth from the penalty spot before Tony Stokes’ strike and Steve Cawley put the late double past Paul Strudley in goal.

Hungerford Town: Strudley; Rees, Boardman, Day, Tyler; Clark, Herring, Williams; Goodger (Brown), Soares (Bignall, Preen (Jones). Subs: Jarvis, Legg.
