Hungerford surge back into the frame

A tight first half was opened up by two Hungerford goals in the minute before the break. Cirencester goalkeeper Matt Bath had saved sharply from Mark Draycott midway through the half but it was Luke Hopper who broke the deadlock after Bradley Gray had split the home defence.
And in first half stoppage time Matt Sysum was penalised for handling on the line and Draycott scored from the spot. Cirencester’s comeback attempts were usually limited to long range strikes with Paul Strudley saving from Joe Shepherd and Ben Wells.
Substitute Harry Goodger clipped a post as Hungerford went close to stretching their lead while Strudley saved well from Sysum before Hungerford wrapped it up when Ben Pugh set up Hopper for a simple finish.
