Hungerford take on Cinderford...again
Following Tuesday night's draw at Bulpit Lane, Hungerford Town and Cinderford Town will meet again on Saturday
HUNGERFORD Town face a quick return with a Cinderford Town side that left Bulpit Lane with a point form a goal-less draw on Tuesday night.
But the result could have been much worse for Hungerford as Cinderford wasted a glut of goal-scoring opportunities, particularly in the first half and Hungerford's leading play-off rivals Almondsbury lost at Taunton.
“In the end it was a point won and not two lost,” said manager Bobby Wilkinson as he and coach Michael Gilkes face the task of masterminding the coping with Cinderford's giant strike pairing of Tom Billings and Lewis Somers when they go to the Forest of Dean club on Saturday.
They will be helped by the returns of Matt Day and Ryan Crockford, while Simon Herbert, Scott Davis and Adam Wallace are all on the way back to fitness.
Hungerford are also in action on Tuesday night when they entertain Abingdon United.
