Hungerford whistle through in the wind
Substitutes' goals eventually tame the Thamesmead 10

Hungerford were blown into the First Round proper of the FA Trophy as substitutes Mark Draycott and Alan O’Brien set the seal on a chilling victory at Bupit lane.
It was tough going with, and especially against the wind, whihc was behind the south London visitors in the second period and cancelled out the disadvantage of having to play with 10 men.
They had Matt Toms sent off after picking up two yellow cards in the first period, when they trailed to Stefan Brown’s goal after 12 minutes.
Toms collected his second card 10 minutes before the interval for a needless foul on Nat Jarvis, but his team-mates threw the ball forward after the break to test a Hungerford defence that had been shorn of the injured Jon Boardman early on.
But it held firm, with the biggest threat a Lewis Dark free kick that rattled the cross bar, although the tie was not made safe until the final 10 minutes when O’Broen crossed for Draycott to drive in number two and then O’Brien robbed a defender before streaking away from his own half to beat goalkeeper Andrew Walker.
Hungerford now go into Monday’s draw, and that night they will take on lowly Paulton Rovers in a rearranged league fixture at Bulpit Lane.
