Injury denies Park House boy his England debut
London Irish centre Jonathan Joseph is ruled out of Saxons clash after picking up groin strain
FORMER Park House boy Jonathan Joseph has been robbed by injury of the chance to make his debut for England Saxons against Scotland A on Friday.
The 20-year old centre - a key member of the London Irish squad - has picked up a groin injury and has been forced to make way for London Wasps' Dominic Waldouck.
He had been called into the Saxons squad for the first time this week after making a number of England under 20 appearances
“He was experiencing a little soreness when he joined us and aggravated things when he slipped in training,” said Saxons coach Jon Callard. “It's nothing serious and he could play with it but it might not be in his best interests.
"He's got a bright future but as he's just come back from a different injury we didn't want to compound his problems.”
Another local youngster, Jack Moates, is in the Wales under 20 squad that takes on Ireland on Friday night.
