Ivar makes his exit
Royals release club captain along with striker Mooney while contract offers are made to 14 others
READING have released club captain Ivar Ingimarsson as the club re-shapes its squad in the wake of Monday's play-off final disappointment.
The 33-year old was expected to leave at the end of the campaign and a Royals career that saw him play more than 280 gamnes for the club since becoming Steve Coppell's first signing for Reading in Octobner 2003.
Also on the way out is out of contract striker David Mooney, who spent the latter part of the seoans on loan at Colchester United, while on loan defender Zurab Khizanishvili is also expected to move on now that his season-long loan from Blackburn Rovers has come to an end.
Contract offers have been amde to 14 players with Hal Robson-Kanu and Brynjar Gunnarsson in discussions over new deals as their contracts expire this summer.
Youngsters James Rowe, Danny Joyce, Abdulai Bell-Baggie and American midfielder Erik Opsahl are also released, while Scott Davies and Julian Kelly have already signed for Crawley and Notts County respectively.
