Kingsclere through to Hampshire FA Trophy final

Kingsclere are through to the final of the Hampshire FA Sunday Trophy.

They hosted Fareham-based CT United, a team backed by telecoms and IT specialists Connection Technologies.

It was a promising start, as Kingsclere hit the post within the opening thirty seconds.

Shortly afterwards, Jordan Goater hit a diagonal ball towards goal at an awkward angle for the keeper.

He parried it into the path of Declan Shuttleworth, who produced a Di Canio-esque finish to make it 1-0.

CT were back level ten minutes later as one of their players, a former professional, lobbed the Kingsclere keeper.

The hosts kept fighting however, as Freddie Gee found Shuttleworth with a long ball, who shifted it to Seth Fowler.

His mazy run through the CT defence took him through on goal, where he finished for a 2-1 half-time lead.

Kingsclere brought on Shawn Foster to help shore things up at the back, although it was he who scored to third for 3-1.

With fifteen left to play, Ash Tribe clipped a pass through to Shuttleworth who powered it home for 4-1.

It will be held at the Stoneham Lane Football Complex, on the outskirts of Southampton, on 25th May.

Back in league action, NWX won again to solidify their spot at the top.

Alfie Davis Ellard put in a Man of the Match performance, scoring twice, while Harry Murtagh, Phil Coates and Ben Wright also bagged goals in a 5-3 win over Aldbourne Royals.

AFC Aldermaston progressed to the final of the Knock Out Cup with a 3-1 win over Frilsham.

Noah Chengun, Sam Allen and Josh Allen all scored to see their side through to the final, where they’ll face one of Kingsclere or Diamond.

Diamond progressed in the Lambourn Cup on Sunday, as they beat Thatcham Tornadoes 3-1 thanks to goals from Byron O'Regan, MJ Godfrey and Zander Carnwath.
