Ladies do their level best

Jess Franklin got the team off to a superb start. Never afraid to mix it at the front of the field, she held on well to finish fourth and also record the fifth fastest time of the day by any senior woman.
Sue Van Huyssteen kept the team in contention just outside the top four and it was left to Chloe Coxhead to close the team with a storming final 400m metres that saw her pass host club Thames Valley Harriers to secure fourth spot.
The senior men's race saw Peter Crisp set the team on their way in ninth place in a time of 15 mins 53 seconds, a time matched by Steve Barnes who led the team home in the same position after James Craggs and Sam Hall worked well over the middle two legs, the former clocking the team’s best time of 15.21.
