Lindsay aims high with Senorita
Dressage rider claims Grand Prix success as pair prepare for Hickstead
KINTBURY-based international dressage rider Lindsay Jenkins followed her recent success at Odencraig by claiming her first Grand Prix win aboard Senorita II and surpass the qualification standard for International selection with a score of 69.57 per cent.
Although it was a low-key event, the result provides further evidence of progress towards establishing the rider and horse amongst the combinations challenging for team places.
“Senorita felt really calm and confident throughout the Grand Prix, which gave me the chance to turn the power on,” she said. “However, I now need to produce the same result at a bigger show, so that will probably be Hickstead at the end of April.”
Immediate plans for Senorita include the show at Hickstead in April and a possible trip to either Brno in the Czech Republic or Copenhagen in Denmark with the object of competing at two UK-based Internationals in mid summer which will include the Royal International Horse show at Hickstead.
