JETS general manager Lisa Delany won the Rory MacDonald Community Award at the 12th annual Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards, presented by Sir Anthony McCoy at London’s Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel on Monday.

She won £5,000 and an additional £5,000 for a charity of her choice at the awards organised by the British Horseracing Authority to recognise the dedication and skill of more than 6,000 members of stable staff who provide first class care and attention for the 14,000 racehorses in training in Britain.

She joined the Jockeys Employment and Training Scheme in 2002 and has carried out more than 700 coaching sessions and assisted 200 jockeys into employment.

“My time at JETS has been the most fantastic 14 years. It has just been incredible,” she said.
