Luke Humphries’ Premier League schedule confirmed, faces Aspinall in Belfast

Newbury’s Luke Humphries has learned his Premier League fate, after the PDC confirmed this year’s fixtures.

The 2024 World Champion will face Nathan Aspinall on night one in Belfast, having narrowly beaten The Asp at the Bahrain Darts Masters earlier this month.

Cool Hand Luke exited that tournament at the hands of eventual winner Steven Bunting, having blown a lead in the process.

He’ll have a shot at revenge on night three, as the Premier League heads to Dublin.

Humphries reached the final of the Premier League last year, losing to current World Champion Luke Littler in a thrilling final at the O2.

The finale returns to London this year on May 29th.

Littler will begin his defence of the BetMGM Premier League title against seven-time champion Michael van Gerwen on the opening night in Belfast, in a repeat of January’s World Championship final.

The BetMGM Premier League will see eight of the sport’s biggest names contesting 16 mini-events during the season - with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs - ahead of the Play-Offs at the end of May.

Belfast’s SSE Arena will play host to the opening night of the 2025 season on Thursday February 6, which will be headlined by a blockbuster clash between reigning champion Littler and Dutch superstar Van Gerwen.

Bunting makes his Premier League return against 2018 World Champion Rob Cross, while Chris Dobey and Gerwyn Price lock horns in the opening quarter-final in a repeat of their last eight clash at the World Championship.

All matches will be played over the best of 11 legs, with a £10,000 bonus on offer to every nightly winner.

Ranking points will also be awarded per night - with five to the winner, three to the runner-up and two to the semi-finalists - to form the league table from which the top four players will progress to the Play-Offs at The O2 in London on Thursday May 29.

The 2025 BetMGM Premier League will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK & Ireland, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay.
