Marksman Jeff misses out

Newbury chase top spot in early kick-off at Faraday Road

NEWBURY'S 13-goal top scorer Jeff Kalejaiye misses Saturday's game with Penn and Tylers Green at Faraday Road where the hosts will be bidding to top the Hellenic League Division One East table.

The summer signing from Uxbridge misses his first game of the season wuith Craig Hill stepping up as Newbury tackle the side third in the table.

"Craig Hill will start," said manager Steve Melledew. "He's been patient and been a great support to the side this season and he has earned his chance."

A win would take Newbury two points clear of the field, and with at least four games in hand on the teams around them.

The match has been brought forward to a 2pm kick-off.
